About the course

Benefits of the international joint course enriching our faculty’s objectives:

The course connects students from several continents’ cultures and countries. This unique aspect of the joint course also opens up new possibilities for the on-site discussion of several questions of human culture, conceptualization and communication from several cultural perspectives, so it not only makes participants more knowledgeable and open-minded but also brings on social change in making participants more open to different cultures and developing the ability of overcoming cultural differences.

Course objectives:

Our course in the academic year 2022/23 targeted conceptual metaphors of climate change. Previous courses also investigated the study of cognitive linguistic and psychological aspects of communication, metaphorical conceptualization in human thinking and understanding, the science of conceptual metaphor in the cognitive science of communication.
