Training schedule

2022/23 academic year autumn semester

 

Training Supplement to the Regulations of the Doctoral School for First and Second Year Students

 

Online seminar weekly, MS Teams.

 

Classes are held in MS Teams Philosophy I. You can log in with a university code.

After enrollment code is available, you must take the Philosophy I course in neptun.

Students with an MA in Philosophy or a previous five-year degree will receive individual training, in consultation with their subject leader or the Head of School, for whom the following schedule is indicative. Attendance is not compulsory but is encouraged. For doctoral students with a non-philosophy degree, the following programme constitutes the completion of the 30-credit course Philosophy I. Participation in the seminars is compulsory and forms part of the condition of fulfilment.

Completion

In person participation in the online seminar.

 One essay of at least 3 pages and no longer than 5 pages. For the topic of most interest to the student: a summary of the work of an author or period and a justification of why the author or period appealed to him/her. The essay should be handed in to the teacher of the chosen topic by prior arrangement. The teacher will send an email to the head of the secretariat, Alexandra Haffner-Kiss, haffner-kiss.alexandra@pte.hu, confirming completion of the assignment

 

Submission: any time during the semester, by 30 November.

Once the certificates have been received, the semester will be accepted for credit

 

Courses provide the basic knowledge required for the complex examination at the end of the fourth semester.

 

Two Saturday days for all 1st-4th semester doctoral students (whether or not they have a philosophy degree), full-day attendance programme with lectures.
